Flexible Cutting

The Lumen Digital Cutting Center cuts all standard graphics materials, and can perform through-cuts, kiss-cuts, and engraving—all in a single operation. You can even run multiple jobs simultaneously, each cutting a different material with different types of cuts.

Digital Registration System

Automatic Digital Registration of printed parts on existing registration marks assures perfect alignment when cutting. You can program the system to use up to 10 registration marks, which can be programmed to read crosshairs, printed dots, the edge of the part, or even an area of the printed graphic itself. You will no longer have to try to align parts by eye. With a Digital Registration, parts are aligned quickly and precisely, to within .001".

Fast Cutting

High speed motion control allows stacks of materials, including adhesives, to be rapidly cut in a single operation. Large bed size allows multiple jobs to be put on the machine at once, dramatically decreasing operator time.

Die-Less Cutting

The Lumen Digital Cutting Center uses standard laser technology to cut multiple materials without dies or setup. Makes short runs, prototypes and one-offs extremely profitable for you, and completely removes the setup costs on larger jobs.

SoftTouch™ Power Control

At the heart of the Lumen is Beam Dynamics' proprietary SoftTouch Power Control system. SoftTouch adjusts the Lumen's power according to the material being cut, allowing an extraordinary range of materials and un-paral-leled flexibility. This unique technology is what takes the Lumen to a new level in cutting machines and allows you to have full control of your cutting machine's power.

Engraving

Easily engrave raster images in the same operation as cutting. Add part numbers in the same process where materials are being cut.

Standard graphics applications support

Beam Dynamics software works with all standard graphics files, including Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, and CorelDraw. It is powerful and easy to use. Running on an external PC, the software imports files from most vector based, CAD, graphics and font formats. Unlike most machine drivers, this is a full functioned CAM program that allows editing of the geometry, manipulation of layers, offsetting and control of the tool path and arraying of multiple parts. Integrated into the software is an editable database of laser settings for an unlimited number of materials. The user can quickly assign a material setting for any layer in the file. These settings are then automatically downloaded to the Lumen and displayed on the control panel.

Pass-through access

Doors on both sides of the machine allow it to be put into in-line production environment.
