Including:New lightweight, fiber reinforced polymers are difficult to machine with conventional cutting tools. This has led many users to the non-contact cutting capabilities of a laser. Thin, uncured pre-prep sheets in thickness up to 0.5mm can be precisely trimmed or sized at very high speeds, and you do not have to worry about gumming up a cutting tool. The heat from the laser’s cutting action fuses the edges, thus preventing fraying of the fibers.

Thicknesses of materials include up to ¼" for fiberglass, ¼" for phenolic and ¾" for Corian.

- Auto Focus: A sensor automatically measures the material thickness and sets the focus appropriately so you don't have to do it by hand.
